Setting a Hotkey
To assign a hotkey:
- In the Hotkey settings, locate the desired action.
- Click on the input field next to the action.
- Press the key combination you wish to assign (e.g.,
Ctrl,Shift, andAsimultaneously). - Solaris will register your hotkey. Ensure you save your settings if prompted.
Best Practices
- Avoid Conflicts: Choose hotkey combinations that are not already in use by your operating system or other frequently used applications to prevent unintended actions.
- Use Modifiers: Combining modifier keys (
Ctrl,Alt,Shift,Windows Key) with standard keys often helps create unique and less conflicting shortcuts. - Consistency: Group related actions with similar modifier combinations (e.g.,
Ctrl + Alt + Arrowkeys for brightness/temperature adjustments).
By leveraging Solaris's hotkey controls, you can streamline your monitor management and maintain an optimal viewing experience with unparalleled speed and convenience.
